Ridge "Geyserville" 2024

Ridge has produced Geyserville every year since 1966 from the same historic Alexander Valley site, making it one of California’s longest continuous Zinfandel field blends. In 2024 they added “Vineyard” to the front label to distinguish the estate from the nearby town of Geyserville. The wine remains a pure expression of the old vines and gravelly soils, fermented with native yeasts and aged in American oak with minimal intervention.

The 2024 shows raspberry, vanilla, and licorice on the nose, followed by a focused palate of black cherry and nutmeg. Subtle tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, polished finish define it. Critics have called it one of the finest Geyservilles in recent memory—weightless yet concentrated, elegant yet deeply flavored.
