The San Polo winery, located in Montalcino (a town in the province of Siena, in Tuscany), is famous for its red wines made within the D.O.C.G. Brunello di Montalcino. If there is one thing this company, owned by the Allegrini family, can boast of, it is not being afraid of anything and always broadening their horizons. After all, this is how San Polo was born, a project that arose from this family’s interest in going beyond their small property in Valpolicella (in the Veneto region), where they became famous for their Amarone.
"The light nose features both fruit notes of strawberry and cherry and vegetal aromas of fennel and fresh soil, along with a light woodiness. On the palate, a smear of strawberry jam receives a dusting of herbs, while refined tannins and positively boiling acid bolster a flinty, metallic undertone."
