Jolie Laide Red Blend California 2022

This wine is a blend of 44% Trousseau Noir, 22% Gamay, 18% Valdiguié, 13% Cabernet Pfeffer, and 3% Poulsard, sourced from various organically farmed vineyards across California's North Coast AVA. Each variety was fermented separately, with partial carbonic maceration for brightness and whole-cluster fermentation adding a touch of spice to the aromatics. The result is a delicate, lean wine with bright red fruit flavors.

Jolie-Laide, run solely by winemaker Scott Schultz in Sebastopol, produces just 500 cases annually. The name, meaning "Pretty-Ugly" in French, reflects the unconventional beauty of these sought-after wines.
