Bevan Cellars 'Ontogeny' Napa Valley 2023

Russell Bevan’s Ontogeny is the entry point into the Bevan range.  A carefully assembled Napa Valley blend drawn from some of the winery’s best barrels across premier sites (primarily Tench in Oakville, with contributions from Sugarloaf and others). It consistently delivers the house style of lush fruit and polished power at a more approachable price.

The 2023 shows ripe, sexy blue fruits, darker chocolate, graphite, and a kiss of minerality. Full-bodied, round, and lush with sweet tannins and a pleasure driven profile that remains balanced and layered. A hedonistic, crowd pleasing vintage that drinks well now and age gracefully.

Grape: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc with small amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec

Appellation: Napa Valley, California, USA
