2023 Marchesi Antinori Tignanello

Tignanello remains one of the defining wines of modern Tuscany. One of the pioneering Super Tuscan that first showed the world what Sangiovese could become when blended with Cabernet and aged in small oak. The Tignanello estate sits on limestone rich soils and it continues to set the standard under the Antinori family’s careful stewardship.

The 2023 is an intense ruby red. The nose opens with ripe cherries, pomegranate and orange, then moves into hibiscus, violet, cocoa, pencil lead, white pepper and cranberry. Palate is precise and pure, with silky supple tannins, and a savory finish of blood orange and roasted hazelnut. This vintage leans toward finesse and aromatic lift, with a touch more Cabernet Franc in the blend, it offers immediate pleasure yet serious aging potential.

A classic, beautifully balanced Tignanello that’s elegant, layered, and unmistakably itself.
