2022 Ochota Barrels The Green Room Grenache

Ochota Barrels is a cult, low-intervention Australian producer founded by Taras and Amber Ochota, celebrated for vibrant, site-driven wines from old vines in McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, made with minimal intervention and a strong musical influence.

Dry and 100% Grenache shows a shimmering garnet color with aromas of blueberry, white strawberry, lemon-blueberry juice, orange peel and herbal character. The palate is light-bodied yet round and textured, with fine tannins, lively acidity and a mouth-watering, thirst-quenching finish.

Sourced from certified organic, dry-grown 75-year-old bush vines (planted 1946) in the Grancari/Onkaparinga Hills vineyard on red loamy clay with ironstone over limestone and schist; fermented with a high proportion of whole clusters and aged briefly in old French barrels.
