Robin Daniel Lail carries one of Napa’s deepest legacies. Her great-granduncle founded Inglenook in 1879, and her father, John Daniel Jr., kept that standard of excellence alive. The J. Daniel Cuvée is named in his honor, her flagship wine and a personal promise to make Cabernet that lives up to the family name. Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky guide the winemaking with the same quiet precision Robin demands of every bottle that carries her father’s name.

The 2022 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon drawn from exceptional sites across the valley, like Calistoga, Oakville, Stags Leap, and Howell Mountain. It opens with intense black cherry, cassis, blue fruit, scorched earth, baking spice, and a touch of chocolate oak. On the palate it is full-bodied, concentrated, and velvety. With ripe, rounded tannins and plush finish. It plays the ripe, generous, sexy style of the vintage without being over the top. A soul satisfying Napa Cabernet that already feels complete yet will age beautifully for 15 plus years.
