2022 Benjamin Leroux Vosne-Romanée

Benjamin Leroux is one of Burgundy’s most thoughtful and precise voices. A négociant-grower based in Beaune who works with exceptional parcels across the Côte d’Or, always prioritizing old vine material and pure expression of place over showiness. His wines feel personal, detailed, and deeply considered.

The 2022 Vosne-Romanée comes from six lieux-dits spanning the appellation, almost all old Pinot Fin selections. One-third whole clusters and a touch of barrel fermentation give it lift. It opens with perfumed sweet blackberry, violets and spice. The palate is lush yet energetic, with waves of red and black fruit, supple tannins, fine focus and surprising length for a village wine that’s pure, poised and full of quiet confidence.

Leroux’s village Vosne often punches above its weight because of the quality of the vine material and the careful blending of complementary sites.
