2017 Santa Sofia Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Santa Sofia is a historic estate founded in 1811 in the Valpolicella Classico zone (Veneto), based at the Palladian Villa Sarego and known for traditional, elegant wines that balance power with finesse under the Begnoni family.

A blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella shows a dark, almost inky ruby color with rich garnet hues. Bold yet delicate aromas of ripe cherries, cassis, and prunes are complemented by hints of milk chocolate, rhubarb, and balsamic mentholated tobacco. On the palate it is tonic and juicy, full-bodied with lively tannins and an invigorating citrus note that balances the alcohol, finishing refined and harmonious.
